This “doctor” I am referring to is Dr. Perricone — the founder of Perricone MD skincare products. And the orders? To use his new No Foundation Foundation — the one size fits all version of foundation.
How is it different from any other foundation out there? According to Perricone MD, “One universal shade, for all ages and skin types, No Foundation Foundation helps correct skin under-tones, while boosting skin’s natural moisture level throughout the day.”
What was that?! One universal shade, for all ages and skin types? Could such a miracle foundation actually exist? I had to give it a try.
I was very skeptical at first — how could a foundation match my impossibly pale skin as well as someone’s darker — heck, normal — skin? I have a hard enough time finding a foundation fair enough (read: white enough) to match my skin. However, my skepticism was unwarranted, and I have fallen in love with Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation.
The product perfectly blended into my skin tone, Anne’s skin tone and my roommate’s skin tone (all of which are drastically different). My favorite part is that the foundation moisturizes and protects my delicate (read: easily burnt) skin with SPF 30. But like the name suggests, this is not a traditional heavy cover up for trouble spots, so if you need more coverage, another concealer is in order. However, this is a great everyday foundation to get your skin glowing, and this wondrous foundation has now become a staple in my daily makeup routine. I don’t go outside without it.
A 30 ml bottle of Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation retails for $50, exclusively at Sephora.
