Foot Fetish Friday: Are Armadillo Shoes a Schwing! Or a Miss?

In today’s edition of Foot Fetish Friday, we pay homage to the music video that has everyone’s tongues wagging this week — Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.” In the fantastical clip, Lady Gaga sports futuristic fashions, including 10-inch “armadillo shoes” – but those are just for the video, right? Not so. These platform “en pointe” pumps recently hit the runways as part of the Alexander McQueen Spring 2010 collection. They may have made their debut on one of today’s hottest pop artists, but would you wear them?

Truly a fetish shoe. There are many a fetish shoe in the history texts that look like this. They are pretty fascinating if you really look at them. The print is very tribal, while the shape of the shoe makes me think of Geishas.
How is that functional? Where does the foot go? LOL
