Plastic is great for Tupperware, but is it equally appealing for footwear?  The designers at Melissa Plastic Dreams think so.  This Brazilian footwear brand boasts an array of pumps, flats, oxfords and more created out of various plastic materials.  And many, like these Melissa + Zaha Hadid shoes from the Winter ‘09 line, have a ultra-modern feel to complement their futuristic, synthetic construction.  But are these shoes ahead of their time?
