Similar to the tale of the Beauty and the Beast, Beauty and the Bride (BATB) will examine a relationship fraught with mistrust, deception, fear, and hopefully, a happy ending. BeautyXposé will follow BATB as she traverses the perilous landscape of wedding-day beauty leading up to her September nuptials. Have a question for BATB? A topic you’d like her to cover? A conspiracy you’ve uncovered in the Wedding Industrial Complex (WIC) you’d like exposed? Email her at: beautyandthebride@beautyxpose.com.
My smile, like many people’s, has undergone various forms of transformation through the years — losing my front two teeth during an unfortunate incident involving my grandmother’s drive way when I was four, braces in junior high, an errant softball in right field freshman year… Despite all this, I’m pretty happy with my smile. At least with the shape of it. The color, well that’s something else entirely…
Me and red wine are friends. I’m similarly close to soda and iced coffee. Unfortunately, while their tastes are delightful, their magical staining powers leave me with more of an impression of them than I wish to have.
So what’s a bride to do? Cutting these wonderful treats out of my life is simply not an option. And my Crest whitening toothpaste is simply not doing the trick. I’ve considered Crest White Strips in the past but have heard bad things about the sensitivity they cause. I could take a trip to the dentist and pay a large sum of money to get my teeth professionally whitened there. Or there are those shady places at the mall — but something about getting your teeth whitened at a mall just seems, well, wrong.
Rembrant has a two-hour whitening kit that I’m considering trying. But the possibility for sensitivity has me worried.
What have you tried to keep your pearly whites gleaming? Any recommendations for regaining that luster? Leave a comment below.
