‘Tis the season for unveiling new designer fashions, and when it comes to footwear, we can expect more over-the-top looks next spring.

Take the Versace Spring/Summer 2010 shoe collection, for example. Inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, the platforms are high, the patterns are geometric and the colors are bold black and white mixed with pastels. But perhaps most interesting, the shoes are “floating” — there’s actually a gap in between the bottom of the shoe and the platform sole itself (though it’s hard to see in this picture). While they’re certainly artistic, are they wearable?

Are these Versace Spring 2010 shoes a Schwing! or a Miss?

• Schwing! – I’d wear these to tea with my Mad Hatter friends!
• Miss – I hate them, and I’d grin like the Cheshire Cat if I saw them on the street.
