Dietribe: Confessions of a Yo-Yo Dieter

Growing up in a Catholic household, I’m intimately familiar with the act of confession. So this week, dear BeautyXpose readers, it’s my time to confess 10 unhealthy “sins” to you.  Who knows, maybe just this act alone will help detox my body.

Here they are in no particular order:

  1. The last time I went to a Weight Watchers meeting was when I wrote about it here (over a month ago).
  2. I haven’t made a conscious food choice for about three weeks (i.e., I’ve been eating anything I wanted and/or what was in front of me).
  3. As a result, instead of losing any weight, I’m sure I gained some.
  4. My pants are snug and I’ve been pretending that the pairs that don’t fit well have shrunk.
  5. I’ve eaten and drank the healthy suggestions I made last week…before scouring copious amounts of other heavy foods.
  6. I would eat pizza and chips every day if there were zero consequences.
  7. The words “Boot Camp Workout” have the same effect on me as fingernails on a chalkboard.  I pretty much hate typical gym machines as well.
  8. I am insanely jealous of my naturally svelte sister and think people must wonder why I’m so much bigger than her.
  9. I completely ignore my overall health when I get stressed about something.
  10. I get stressed a lot – over things that shouldn’t be that stressful (“what ifs” get me every time).

Phew. Now that those are off my chest, I can move on! What about you? Any “sins” of your own you want to confess?
