Are your jeans always falling down? Do you constantly pull them back up into place? Scared your thong is showing? No? Me neither.
But apparently there was at least one person who thought this was a serious enough problem to go out and do something about it.isABeltTM is a clear plastic belt – think like the clear plastic bra straps – that helps keep your pants up above your crack and has been tagged as a “fashion accessory that gives you the confidence to wear your favorite outfits without the constant ‘tugging and pulling.’”
While great in theory, isABelt would be a useful product if not for two very important things:
- The invention of real belts
- Buying jeans that fit
While the idea itself is on shaky ground, the fact that it’s being touted as a fashion accessory makes the product completely questionable. Everyone who has tried the clear bra straps is well aware that light reflects off plastic. It’s a piece of plastic, not invisible. People can still see it, and let’s face it – it’s ugly. Not to mention isABelt costs $17. If I sell you a piece of old rope and call it a vintage belt will you give me $17?
Buying jeans that fit is more important than making the jeans you have stay above your crack. Invest in a solid pair of jeans that don’t slide around, and after wearing them a time or two, wash them to get them back into shape. If for whatever reason you simply cannot keep your jeans up, don’t worry, a little crack now and then keeps things interesting.
