Estée Lauder is a longtime favorite here at BeautyXposé, as we adore the brand’s sophisticated makeup collections and premium skincare products.  But if you’ve been wary to try on all their products at a makeup counter (lest you feel pressured to purchase on the spot), now you can try on new makeup looks virtually ahead of time!

Estée has teamed up with another BeautyXposé favorite, virtual makeover platform provider TAAZ.com, to create the Estée Lauder Virtual Makeover Widget. This handy little tool lets you “try before you buy” by seeing how Estée Lauder’s makeup will look on your own face (or a model’s). You can create your own look product by product or apply pre-set “one click looks” that mimic looks from Estee’s current new collections seen in ad campaigns.

And this isn’t your mother’s online makeover. (Remember the full bright color block of “shadow” that covered your eyes? Yeah that was “natural.”)  TAAZ.com’s software creates an uber-realistic experience with “computer vision techniques” that realistically contours the makeup to the shape of your face. You can even see the shimmer of an eye shadow, the shine of a lip gloss and the level of coverage of a foundation. Simply upload your photo or select the model’s face as a template, and you’re off and running.
