According to the brand’s website, your mother was right when she told you to wash your mouth out with soap. “Research proves pure soap is the best product you can use to improve and maintain optimum dental health…Tooth Soap® [is] made with whole food ingredients lets nature do what our Creator intended, which is support the body so that it can build and repair as needed in a natural manner.”
I have three little letters for you. W-T-F.
Okay, that was a snap judgment (bad Anne!). So what happened when we tried washing our own mouths out with Tooth Soap?
Well first, a disaster occurred when an unsuspecting BX staffer swallowed an entire dropper-full of the product. Let’s just say it was a good thing we have a janitorial crew in the office.
Alright – well you’re clearly not supposed to swallow it, so let’s try that again. This time, I personally swished with the “chocolate fudge” flavored soap.I can absolutely assure you 100 percent that this “chocolate fudge” flavor completely belies its name — there’s not even a hint of it mixed in with the toxic-tasting soap flavor. This stuff is just rancid. In fact, this concoction tastes SO BAD that even after rinsing out with water, sipping some coffee and then downing a glass of wine, I STILL could taste (and smell) the remnants for a good hour.
So does the natural-ingredient dental product work? Who knows? I was too focused on ridding my tongue and nostrils of the poisonous stench to pay attention to whether or not my teeth were clean.
But for those brave souls who still want to give the product a try, you can buy it online at http://www.toothsoap.com, or simply e-mail me, and I’ll send you mine.
