We never thought we’d say it, but we’re counting down the days until summer is over so we can get our hands (er, nails) on all of Duri’s new fall/winter 2009 polishes launching in September and November. We were fortunate enough to test out a few of these new shades ahead of their official launch, and we’re in l-o-v-e.  We’re absolutely smitten with Slumdog Millionaire, a sizzling magenta that would look stunning on Freida Pinto (so we pretended to be her as we painted it on).  And Trophy Wife is a rich, rusty red that just screams “fall harvest.”  But if you’re going for a more demure look, Million Dollar Baby, a subtle, shimmery light pink, is the classic choice.

How well do they wear?  No surprises here — the Duri shades lasted well into a week without chipping or peeling. For the longest-lasting results, layer colors over Duri’s Rejuvacote ($12), a fortifying base coat that strengthens natural nails unlike any other product we’ve seen yet (we actually feel guilty for keeping this our little secret weapon until now).
