My feet are like a desert. They are dry, flaky, cracked and calloused. There is no way you could call them pretty. I feel bad for my feet. I abuse them every day, yet I barely ever take care of them.

With the arrival of sandal season, I decided it was time to finally makeover my feet, more out of embarrassment than sympathy. I had two options – fork over $30 for someone to give me a pedicure that will last two days or handle my nasty feet on my own. I decided to forgo the nail salon and tackle the messes that were my feet.
Of course I painted my toenails, but I couldn’t stop there. I had to find a way to remove all signs of foot-abuse. I needed a pumice of some sort, a very heavy-duty pumice. I’ve gone through my fair share of both cheap drugstore and expensive salon pumices, yet they all seem to leave behind traces of the pain I put my feet in every day.
