Goldilocks Goes Green with Nubar Nail Polish

July 26, 2009 by BX Staff No Comment

earth nubarGoldi is at it again — testing nail polishes in an attempt to find one that is juuuust right. If you recall the ten-finger nail polish-off BX featured back in March when Goldi put 10 different nail polish brands to the test to find the one that could put up with her ravaging ways, this one is a tad different. This time, Goldi is trying to find the perfect shade of green to match the summer grass she enjoys sunning herself in.

In the original nail polish-off, Nubar nail polish was a major contender and caught Goldi’s attention as a polish to keep an eye out for. (Side note: The polish definitely requires a second coat to even out the color, but once the second coat is applied, nails look spankin’ good.)

So Goldi decided to try out the Nubar Going Green Collection to continue her endless search for perfection.

Pinky: Conserve- a shimmery bright green

Ring: Earth- a shimmery bluey green

Middle: Forest- a dark matte green

Index: Greener- a dark shimmery green

Thumb: Green Tea- a matte spring green (not part of the Going Green Collection, but Goldi had it leftover from the original nail polish-off. Since it was green and from Nubar, we included it.)

Right Hand

Index: Wildlife- a chameleon gold, pink, green

Middle: Reclaim- a light shimmery green with hints of purple and gold in the sparkles (the rest of the right hand was repeats as Goldi ran out of greens.)

Goldi found herself drawn to the darker shades. She loved Forest and Greener. We realize taste is subjective and admit all the colors are pretty in different ways. Anne said she particularly liked Earth. So check them out and choose one that is juuuust right for you.

The other great thing about Nubar? Going green means more than the colors. Nubar is good for the environment and good for your health. All polishes are Formaldehyde free, Toluene free and Phthalate free! So paint up!

Get the entire Going Green Collection for $49.95 (including a base and top coat), or individual shades starting at $7.49 at http://www.bynubar.com.
