The Holy Grail for Hair: Leonor Greyl Hair Care

Straw, or Anne's Hair?

Straw, or Anne’s Hair?

Parched.  Frizzy.  Dry.  Not the sort of words you want describing your hair.  But that’s exactly how I found my tresses after getting them highlighted when I returned from vacation a month ago.

Now, I’ve had my hair highlighted a million times before, so I’m not exactly sure what happened.  Maybe it was because I’d dyed it one too many times.  Maybe it was from spending too much time under the scorching Belize UV rays.  Maybe my stylist grabbed the shampoo instead of the conditioner right after the treatment. Who knows? Regardless of why – I was stuck.  No matter how much shine serum, leave-in conditioner or other frizz-free product I used, my hair just didn’t seem the same.

Then came the Holy GrailLeonor Greyl hair care.

leonor-greyl1All products in this luxurious Parisian line are silicone-free, paraben-free, and contain all-natural active ingredients (the company’s mission is to keep hair at its healthiest without the use of harmful chemicals).  The concentrated, plant-based  products are designed to hydrate, soften, nourish and strengthen hair, and they more than deliver on this promise.

The Leonor Greyl Masque à l’Orchidée nourished my straw-like strands back to health after just one use.

Why am I so amazed?  Well for one, I don’t usually use hair masques.  And not because I don’t think they work, but because I’m usually running out the door, trying to avoid being more than five minutes late (Early?  What’s early?).  So the thought of taking extra time to moisturize my hair is like asking me to stretch the day into 25 hours.  But I was able to test the Leonor Greyl masque by using it instead of my conditioner in the shower, leaving it in while I shaved, scrubbed and rinsed off.

The results simply boggled my mind.  I mean, I expected to get soft, smooth, moisturized hair for a day or two following the treatment – even a week at best.  But it’s been a solid month, and it’s still going strong.  My hair feels like it did before I ever got the highlights, but smoother (of course, I owe credit to my regular ARROJO and Sexy Hair products as well).

The bottom line? The Leonor Greyl Masque à l’Orchidée deep conditioning treatment is pricey ($52 for 7oz.), but the results are completely worth it, and a little goes a long way, so it will last you forever.

Try it out for yourself!
