Brighten your spirits with the new China Glaze Up & Away collection for Spring 2010. The collection of twelve bright, happiness-inspiring nail polish colors range from delicate yellow to bold teal and just about everything in between.
And what they look like on hand…
Thumb: Four Leaf Clover (kelly green)
Pointer: Re-Fresh Mint (spearmint)
Middle: Grape Pop (bright plum)
Ring: Happy Go Lucky (sunshine yellow)
Pinky: Lemon Fizz (banana)
Thumb: Flying High (teal)
Pointer: Something Sweet (cotton candy)
Middle: Light as Air (periwinkle)
Ring: Peachy Keen (nectar)
Pinky: Heli-Yum (raspberry)
Ring: High Hopes (guava)
Pinky: Sugar High (petal pink)
My favorites were Grape Pop, Re-Fresh Mint, Four Leaf Clover and Heli-Yum. The only one I wasn’t really a fan of was High Hopes, but my roommate loved it, so that’s just all an issue of preference.
Lemon Fizz and Happy Go Lucky both go on very streaky with the first coat, but by the second coat they are just as pigmented and beautiful as the other colors. My only other gripe is that the formulation isn’t my favorite; it tends to be a little too liquid-y, thus leading to some pooling around the nail beds and random dripping.
But what I do LOVE is how pigmented all the colors are. Unlike some polishes, when you are done painting with China Glaze nail polish, there is no trace of nail. It looks as if a crayon magically morphed into your nails, and they look absolutely fabulous.
