Season Staple: Tribal Prints

To some, spring fashion is about dainty florals and delicate pastel hues. For others, it’s about sharp geometrics in bold electric stains. At least it is now. After countless designers sent ferocious patterns down the catwalk, making the style savvy scream, “I’m a fashionista, hear me roar!” it’s safe to say tribal prints are running rampant.

Welcome yourself to the jungle with a neon wrap or mini dress decked in abstract warrior designs or asymmetrical shapes. For a tame office look, try a tribal blazer or pencil skirt with simple accoutrements. As with most bold looks, don’t equalize the entree with a slew of sides. Keep the accompanying pieces simple. Do a nude pant with the blazer or a black cashmere sweater with the skirt. When it comes to accessorizing a tribal frock, stick to bangles or baubles, definitely not both.

But if you’re not quite ready to plummet into patterns, there’s a way to do a mild tribal. Even the loudest tribal tote can respectfully enhance any basic out-and-about weekend look, while a printed wedge is the best way to fierce-ify your night on the town. Not to mention, tribal inspired jewelry like bracelets and necklaces with gigantic sharp pieces in a variety of metals are an expert combo of trend and taste.
