We’ve discussed the dark side of fragrance before, and I was interested to see if Pure Vanilla Perfume would defy my expectations. The scent is touted as having no potentially harsh chemicals. Instead, it contains a botanical fragrance blend, a safer alternative to the synthetic chemicals that compose the ingredient known as “fragrance.”
The Vanilla Lavender Body Butter has a stronger scent – the aroma of the lavender really comes through. The label says the product contains all-natural ingredients and no harsh chemicals. A quick search on Skin Deep reveals that two of the body butters in other scents, Vanilla Grapefruit and Vanilla Coconut, have received four- and five-out-of-ten hazard scores, respectively.
Available online, the body butter costs $25, and the perfume is $58.
