When brides get ready to say “I do” in today’s society, it’s not uncommon for them to start an intense beauty regime in anticipation of the big day. And

while some brides take it to the extreme with starvation diets, boot-camp-style exercise and dramatic hair and makeup makeovers, most don’t run out to the nearest plastic surgeon’s office for a matrimonial makeover…until now.

In their latest bid to shock, awe and disgust the masses with trainwreck TV, it appears the E! network is set to launch a new show called “Bridalplasty,” where soon-to-be brides compete to win the plastic surgeries of their dreams. (What ever happened to just wanting a new set of dishes?)

According to Hollywood Reporter, each week on “Bridalplasty,” a bevy of “flawed” fiancees compete in various matrimonial-based tasks, and the winner selects a procedure from their personal plastic surgery wish list. The surgery is performed immediately, and the results are revealed the following week, just in time for the fun to start all over again.

Contestants are voted off one-by-one by their peers until there’s only one surgically-enhanced stunner left: the perfect bride. The last insecure bride standing reveals her new look to her family, friends and the groom during a finale “dream wedding.”

We just hope they both know what they’re in for during the unveiling and can live with it happily ever after.
