Thanks to the lovely Dove brand, I was able to spend a relaxing Sunday morning with some beautiful ladies enjoying manis, pedis, mini massages and underarm exfoliation at La Dolce Vita in Boston.
Excuse me, what?
You heard me right: underarm exfoliation. Dove arranged for myself and some friends—bloggy and non bloggy alike—to experience their PitiCure™ treatment. As weird as it sounds, and I must admit a bit awkward at first, the treatment was really relaxing. And, it didn’t hurt that it was followed up with a mini neck/shoulder massage.
If you take a second to think about it, it makes sense for us to treat our “pits” from time to time considering how much we tend to neglect them aside from shaving. According to Dove, shaving reduces the top layer of skin by 20 percent and can result in irritation and skin dryness. Yikes, I sure don’t want to be showing off red, bumpy underarms this summer while sporting my bikini on the beach.
The procedure was ended with the application of Dove Ultimate anti-perspirant/deodorant in Light Radiance, a light and refreshing scent.
I was joined by my wonderful roommate Lauren, her visiting sister, Chris, Athena, Megan, BX’s own Chelsea Pech and my dear friend Carrie.
La Dolce Vita was so adorable and the staff was so friendly. They attend to us as if we were family and treated us to some gorgeous manis and pedis. Just ask Lauren; I still can’t stop staring at my mani in “What’s With the Cattitude?” from the OPI Shrek Collection.
All in all, it was a gorgeous, relaxing start to everyone’s morning thanks to Dove and La Dolce Vita.
