Slather on a pile of poop!
My grandma is keen to utter wise old sayings like, “A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.” While I’ve never thought of making a beauty brand based on her idioms, the creators of Chicken Poop™ Lip Junk lip balm appear to have taken their grandpa’s words to heart. According to the brand’s website, “Grandpa says: If ya got dry lips put chicken poop on ‘em so ya won’t lick ‘em.” And from there, a chap stick named after poultry poo was born.
But don’t worry — the brand is quick to note that Chicken Poop Lip Junk actually “contains no poop.” It’s real 100 percent natural ingredients include Avocado oil, jojoba, sweet orange, lavender essential oil, bees wax, and vitamin E. For others concerned about the living conditions of the pretend chicken (again, there’s no poultry-derived ingredients at all), the product label assures the imaginary hen was “free range.”
If you’re into thinking of something fowl when applying lip balm, you can purchase Chicken Poop Lip Junk individually for $4 or in a Pile of Poop (five tubes) for $18. The brand also offers Chicken Poop Outdoors and other interesting products at its website and at drugstore.com.
