Brighten up with Colorescience Line Tamer Skin Brightener Primer

Colorescience Primer
If you believe products that simultaneously perfect your skin’s appearance and condition exist only in a perfect world, you’ll want to thank Diane Ranger for the little slice of heaven she’s created with Colorescience, her advanced makeup line. You won’t find any oils, perfume, talcs, dyes or alcohols in her products. Instead, they contain peptides, liquid crystals and pearl powder. Oh yeah, and results. Let’s face it, when the “mother of mineral makeup” (Ranger was one of the pioneers of the concept of pure minerals in makeup and sunscreen in the 70s) makes something for your skin, it’s got to be good. No wonder the brand’s Line Tamer Skin Brightener Primer whipped my red face into shape an instant.

The primer looks like mousse, smoothes on like velvet and works like cake – but I hope you’re not hungry, because if you apply it before your foundation in the morning, there won’t be any caking going on all day. Don’t let the slightly yellow shade of the primer scare you! Along with oats, which work to actively soothe redness, the yellowish tint serves to immediately neutralize the appearance of red skin. The hue is too faint to overpower your foundation’s color, but still strong enough to visibly even your skin tone. With its light foam consistency, the Line Tamer creates a smooth, substantial base on your skin in ways a lotion-based primer could never dream of. As a result, your face is a clean slate for whatever kind of makeup you do (or don’t) decide to put on.

The SPF 20 might seem like an added bonus, but Colorescience takes sun protection very seriously. All SPF-rated products from the brand (and there are a lot of them) are considered full-spectrum sunscreens. They contain micronized titanium dioxide and micronized zinc oxide, active ingredients that intercept ultraviolet rays and are less likely to burn or irritate your skin. They’re also considered very water resistant.

To tame your wild side – or, at least, your wild skin – you can grab your own bottle of Colorescience’s Line Tamer Skin Brightener Primer online at SkinStore for $45.

Looks like a great skin lightening product. I'm familiar with the company that makes it but not the product itself. I have some what good results with other skin brighteners and will have to try this one. Thanks for such a informative post.
