The Prevoir Face and Body Lotion ($29.95) is made with a plethora of powerful components — organic aloe, coconut, green tea, shea butter, olive and carrot oil, to name just a few. Nonetheless, the lotion’s performance is rather lackluster. While it has powerful moisturizing capabilities, the fragrant olive scent is overwhelming, and an oily residue left behind leaves us looking shiny.
The Premiere Cleanser and Exfoliator ($24.95) and the Marin Toner ($19.95), however, are much more successful. Though the cleanser has a scent similar to the lotion, it’s totally tamer. Not to mention, it hydrates and soothes skin as promised, likely because it’s created with rooibos tea, an antioxidant that attacks free radicals. The toner is a collection of thinly quilted pads soaked in a combination of sea life ingredients, such as kelp, green blue algae and Dead Sea salt. The pads close the pores and attempt to adjust pH levels of the skin and remove extraneous material like dirt.
The Hydrating and Firming Anti-Aging Serum ($39.95) is the real crowd pleaser, though. Made with antioxidants and Vitamins A, B, and E, the serum leaves skin feeling seriously soft. The scent is much more subtle than the other jeune d’âge products, and the consistency is just the right balance of light and creamy. The most unique part — the serum is divided into individual one time use packets that are stored in a plantable box made of flower seed.
