Fortunately there are a couple options. I’ve always been a fan of the old baby powder-in-the-hair trick, but the white dust leaves my dark brown hair looking dull and slightly gray. Then Salon Grafix came along, sent me a sample of their new Invisible Dry Shampoo and gave me the opportunity to test out another solution to my greasy hair day blues.
Unlike other dry shampoos, this product promises to soak up that excess shine without leaving your scalp full of an unsightly powdery residue. When I sprayed the product into my own hair, it felt wet to the touch, almost as if I had just used hairspray. I then brushed out the hair, but it was still flat and oily-looking.
After fluffing my hair with the brush for several minutes, I decided it looked better than it had before, but I wasn’t completely satisfied with the end product. I have tried it three times since, and each time I’ve had similar results.
If you would like to try Salon Grafix’s Invisible Dry Shampoo, it’s available at many drugstores, including CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens.
