These days, a sleek, compact cell phone is the standard – but do you remember how ridiculously huge, heavy and impractical the cell phones of 10 years ago were? Technology is advancing, baby, and it’s definitely not leaving lip gloss behind. Of course, none of that would matter if the gloss itself wasn’t above average. Don’t worry – it is. The gloss packs an ample amount of color without being waxy, tacky or heavy. It’s fragrance-free, so you don’t have to be concerned with smelling like a pre-teen, and it’s paraben-free, so the anti-suspicious-preservatives soul can rest a little easier. It has Vitamin E to hydrate your lips, but if your puckers are particularly parched, you should apply a hydrating primer (like Cover FX’s MintGlaze FX) underneath for good measure.

Prodigy gloss in Hypnotic
I had the pleasure of trying out Prodigy in Hypnotic, a berry color with gold shimmer. It looked like a daunting dark pink in the tube, but once on my lips, it proved to be as warm a shade as I had hoped for. Other colors (there are six total) include: Legend, a rose without shimmer; Opium, a plum with shimmer; and Eden (which looks like it would be my favorite), a dark peach beige with shimmer.
Years from now, we’ll never admit that we ever used a lip gloss that didn’t fit in our wallet, back pocket or palm. Sure, there might be some fine-tuning to do – I’m still not sure how easy the gloss will be to get out of the tube once it’s almost empty – but it looks like Prodigy is the lip gloss of the future.
