Often when I straighten my hair in the summer, it folds into hapless waves once I step outside the AC. Anti-frizz creams and serums can leave my roots looking oily and cannot withstand the test of time. Searching for the tool to alleviate my stress and eliminate the frizz, I put the Corioliss Classic Pro Styling Iron from Misikko to the ultimate summer test: straighten and defrizz my unruly summer mane.
The results were a success.
- Before Corioliss: Unruly Curls
- After Corioliss: Sleek Strands
Not only did my hair straighten with a sleek shine, but also the frizz that often accompanies my curls was gone. My hair, greatly in need of a haircut, looked and felt healthier than when I use my usual flat iron (a ceramic Chi). I know my hair will look even better when I use this iron after a little trim.
The temperature dial on the iron ranges from 140-410 degrees Fahrenheit, which is great for me, since I really like to turn up the heat on my flat irons. It took me half the time to straighten my hair as usual, a feature I really appreciate.
The only aspect of this iron that failed me was curling. Since this is a thin iron, it can function as curling iron. I have not tried this on other irons, so I am not sure this technique can work on my hair at all. The curls just would not hold, but as someone with naturally curly hair, I am fine with an iron that will only flatten.
With humidity as my ultimate hair enemy, this Coroliss Classic Pro Styling Iron ($89.99 sale price at Misikko) is my new favorite weapon this summer. Finally my hair is free from frizz, and I can head out in any weather confident I won’t turn curly in an instant.
