Keep your hands germ free without carrying around one of those ugly little bottles of skin-drying Purell. Instead, try CLEAN Perfume‘s Anti-Bacterial Moisturizing Hand Cream. The sleek white tube contains a formula that kills germs and prevents contamination for up to four hours.
The unscented lotion is alcohol free, so it won’t dry your hands – in fact, it moisturizes! It’s also paraben- and triclosan-free, which appeals to my inner environmentalist.
The lotion retails for about $10, and you can locate stores using their store finder, but Facebook users who become fans of and submit an etiquette tip to the CLEAN Perfume Facebook page can win a free tube.

Hi Linda -
Thanks so much for your comment. I did look up the active ingredient, and while it doesn’t have a perfect profile (it scores a 4 out of 10 on Skin Deep), it has a better safety profile than triclosan (7 out of 10) and parabens (5-6 out of 10) – two ingredients that are used in other antibacterial products.
I urge those interested to look up the active ingredient in Clean hand moisturizer, Benzethonium Chloride, on the web site Skin Deep
