COVERGIRL had the red carpet covered at the 2011 Golden Globe awards on Sunday, January 16th. COVERGIRL was kind enough to share the following makeup tutorials from the glamorous event.

Julia Stiles by Celebrity Makeup Artist Jake Bailey

Face: Jake used COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation to make Julia’s luminous skin glow at the globes. He swept a coral shimmer blush across her cheekbones to create a sun-kissed glow and a luxurious, flawless finish.

Eyes: Jake creates a light smokey eye by lining the top and bottom with COVERGIRL LiquiLineBlast in Silver Spark and a dark, matte taupe eye shadow. He finished her eyes with a couple of coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion.

Lips: Jake finished off Julia’s look with COVERGIRL Lip Perfection in Euphoria.

Jenna Ushkowitz by Celebrity Makeup Artist Patrick deFontbrune

Face: To create a flawless finish, Patrick started with COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation of which he blended a few shades and applied with a damp sponge to produce a natural, blended look. He then contoured Jenna’s cheekbones with bronzer and applied a shimmering rose blush.

Eyes: Patrick created a smoky eye using COVERGIRL LiquilineBlast in Blue Bloom to incorporate the color of Jenna’s dress. He applied a highlighter under Jenna’s brow bone and completed her eyes with COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion.

Lips: Patrick wanted to use a color with brown undertones that also had a bit of a flesh tone, so he reached for COVERGIRL Lip Perfection in Fervor.

Jayma Mays by Celebrity Makeup Artist Beau Nelson

Face: To achieve a modern retro look, Beau prepped Jayma’s skin with COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Serum Primer and then used COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation for a luxurious skin finish.

Eyes: Beau used dark brown shades and COVERGIRL LiquiLineBlast in Black Fire to create a smoky eye. After smudging the liner to add a touch of drama, Beau applied COVERGIRL Line Exact in Black over it for added depth. Beau completed Jayma’s smoky eye with COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume.

Lips: Beau applied COVERGIRL Lip Perfection in Flame for a pop of orangy-red with a sharp line brush to define Jayma’s lips.

Finish: Beau finished Jayma’s gorgeous look by applying COVERGIRL Clean Pressed Powder in Oil Control to her t-zone to eliminate shine.

Elisabeth Moss by Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Kaye Cohen

Face: Lauren wanted to keep Elisabeth’s face young and fresh but still glamorous. To create perfect, glowing skin, Lauren started with COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation and then warmed up Elisabeth’s cheek with COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Rich Cinnamon.

Eyes: To keep Elisabeth’s eye clean, Lauren skipped on the liner and added a pop of color with COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Onyx Smoke in the inner corner of her eyes. Lauren finished off the eyes with COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion Mascara to create length and volume to the top lashes only.

Lips: Lauren applied a sheer layer of COVERGIRL Outlast Lipstain in Wild Berry Wink for a light wash of color and finished with COVERGIRL ShineBlast in Aglow.

Piper Perabo by Celebrity Makeup Artist Troy Surratt

Face: Troy created a smooth canvas using COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Foundation and warmed Piper up with some bronzer and light pink powder blush.

Eyes: On Piper’s eyes, Troy used COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire on the lid and set it with a powder eyeshadow. Troy finished the eyes by creating long lashes with COVERGIRL LashBlast Length.

Lips: To create Piper’s luscious red lips, Troy first applied COVERGIRL Outlast Lipstain in Scarlet Pucker and topped it with COVERGIRL Lip Perfection in Hot for extra glamor.

Kyra Sedgwick by Celebrity Makeup Artist Robin Siegel

Face: Robin prepped Kyra’s skin with COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Serum Primer followed by COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Foundation in Creamy Natural for a flawless canvas. Robin then warmed up Kyra’s cheeks with COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Plush Peach for a natural glow.

Eyes: Robin created a soft smoky eye with COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire followed by Dior Amber Design Eyeshadow and then finished with COVERGIRL Lash Blast Length Mascara in Black

Lips: Robin used COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in Coral to finish the fresh look.

Amber Riley’s Golden Globes Look by Celebrity Makeup Artist Mylah Morales

Face: To prep the skin, Mylah used a hydrating serum and Black-Up primer to make sure Amber’s look lasted all night.  Then, Mylah used COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Brazilnut to give Amber a polished look with a flawless finish. Mylah added a pop of color with an apricot blush and then COVERGIRL Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer in Ebony Bronze to highlight Amber’s cheekbones.

Eyes: Mylah used COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Onyx Smoke. Mylah covered Amber’s eyelids with the rounded silver end and then highlighted the crease with the black pointed end. To tie it all together, Mylah used COVERGIRL Liquiline Blast in Black Fire and lined along Amber’s water line.

Lips: Mylah created a nude lip by using COVERGIRL Queen Collection Lip Color in Nude Attitude, which gave Amber a rich color.
