5 Skin Care Stocking Stuffers

From exfoliation to anti-aging serums to under eye creams, you can’t go wrong by stashing skin care products in your pals’ stockings this holiday. Anne shares five must-haves that will make up for that naughty year when you only gave your loved ones some coal.

LUXE

Giorgio Armani ‘Regenessence 3.R’ Youth Generator – $140.00 (1 oz.)

Youth in a bottle. That’s the dream, but has it become reality? Giorgio Armani comes as close as it gets with its new Regenessence 3.R Youth Generator.

A luxuriously light serum, Regenessence hopes to remind your skin of simpler, suppler times with a blend of age-defying ingredients: Linseed extract (regulates extra-cellular communication), vitamin CP (regenerates collagen) and ProXylan (remodels skin matrix, according to Giorgio Armani).

Regenessence is applied via a vial dropper (great for making sure the remaining product in the bottle isn’t contaminated by your fingers), and you’ll feel a difference almost immediately after smoothing it on your face (and neck!). After the product dries, skin feels taut and firm, without feeling dried out or unnatural. And the skin-regenerating qualities are definitely on-point; after one application on my dry skin, you could actually see my dead skin cells shedding off, revealing a bright new layer underneath.

Sensitive sniffer? No need to worry. Regenessence has a very light aroma, which is a nice change from some overly-perfumed serums.  Tip: Armani’s Regenessence offers light moisture, so depending on how dry or oily your skin is, you can either apply it alone or layer under a thicker cream.

Hydroxatone Revitalizing Microdermabrasion – $39.99  (1.7 oz)

If you can’t get enough of sloughing away old skin (like our beauty blog buddy Kelly Gould at Gouldylox Reviews), then you’ll fall in love with Hydroxatone Revitalizing Microdermabrasion.

When you open the beautiful blue jar of Hydroxatone, the product inside looks much more like a cream than an exfoliator. But when you begin to gently massage it into your skin using wet fingertips, you’ll certainly feel the teeny-tiny “micro-crystals” buffing and polishing away (even if you can’t really see them!).

After you rinse those miniature beads away, your skin actually feels soft and moisturized — not raw or dried out. That’s because Hydroxatone Revitalizing Microdermabrasion contains sesame seed oil to smooth and soften the look of fine lines, antioxidants to protect skin from environmental stress and botanical extracts, which help brighten and even out skin imperfections. The result? Skin as polished as you are.

Votre Vu Bébé Duette 2 Pack (hand crème with clear Luxe Lips and Luxe Lips Framboise) – $39.50

If your dry, cracked hands are praying for relief from the harsh winter weather, French skin care brand Votre Vu has the answer in a decadent almond-coconut hand crème that delivers deep moisture. Not only does it smell intoxicating (yet still light enough not to overpower other perfumes!), but it absorbs quickly while still leaving a protective barrier that makes your skin feel as soft as a baby’s.

The best part about this luxurious stocking stuffer is that the Votre Vu Bébé Duette is just that — a duette (or a 2-in-one). In this two-pack, each hand crème is topped off (literally!) with a smooth, moisturizing lip balm. One clear, one a bright translucent berry color (framboise), both Luxe Lips lip balms are made with coconut, shea butter and beeswax to soften and nourish your kisser in preparation of the big moment on New Year’s Eve.

hellomellow Butter Body Oil in “Joy” – $12.00 (2 oz.)

Winter skin can be as dry as your Great Aunt Edna’s sense of humor, but not when you send hellomellow to the rescue. Available in a new holiday juniper and sage scent aptly named “Joy,” hellomellow’s Butter Body Oil delivers must-needed moisture to parched skin.

The bottle is small (2 ounces), but that’s because you only need a tiny drop to cover a lot of surface area. Plus, you can sail through airport security without TSA agents getting all grinch-like. Your skin’s driest spots will be thanking you. Tip: Apply right after a shower to lock in moisture all day.

AVEENO Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream – $11.49 (7.3 oz)

Oatmeal makes a hearty breakfast on a brisk winter morning, but did you know it also helps heal eczema-afflicted skin? AVEENO Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream taps into the natural power of oatmeal to help calm and relieve irritated skin.

In addition to acting as a soothing barrier, this rich moisturizer helps reduce itching and irritation. And it works great even if you don’t suffer from eczema! If you’ve ever had rashes (or those awful bumps on your arms, as many of us get with age), this AVEENO moisturizer makes a huge difference with just one application. The best part is that one bottle will help soothe all family members, as AVEENO Eczema Therapy is gentle enough for children and babies as well as their parents.
