With bold colors everywhere this season, one nail polish brand is keeping things as pretty as a pastel primrose with the new Spring Garden collection by Nubar. The carcinogen-free nail polish (free of formaldehyde, phthalate and toluene), comes in eight new shades that simply scream spring.
I had the opportunity to test two of those new shades alongside Nubar’s classic Foundation Base Coat and Diamont Seal & Shine Top Coat.
After two coats, it dries down to an opaque cream. You’ll definitely want to make sure you are careful to apply it as smoothly as possible, as it can pool in some sections, making the first coat look a little streaky. But once you add that second coat, it’s smooth sailing.
It’s pretty unique as far as grays go, since it is fairly subdued and on the lighter range of the spectrum. This applied very smoothly and evenly with Nubar’s classic wide 229 bristle brush.
When you apply the Diamont Top Coat over any of the colors, it adds this amazing glossy shine that dries down ridiculously fast (less than 60 seconds for me) and makes your nails look just like you had them done in the salon.
As an added bonus to your at-home, salon-worthy mani, you should check out Nubar’s Skin Essentials line of hand lotions. There are so many yummy scents and they all leave your hands feeling smooth and pampered, so to get a good sampling, Nubar has a six-pack of 2 oz. lotions for only $24.99.
All Nubar cruelty-free, vegan nail polishes can be purchased online at http://www.bynubar.com.
