At this point in the winter there is no doubting how dry our skin can get. The bitter wind chill often times leaves our faces frostbitten, and even worse, our lips chapped. However, there is no need to fear since us lucky ladies have the choice of many different moisturizing lip balms to protect our pouts during the winter season.
As a little experiment, I’ve been trying out a variety of different lip balms over the past month or so to fill you all in on my favorites. You could find some great deals with Meijer lip balm and lip treatment coupons and keep your lip healthy and hydrated. I’ve even learned an awesome trick or two to help lips brave the cold…
1. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment- Sephora – $22.50
Aside from being on the pricey side, this SPF 15 lip balm is worth the splurge. It comes in a variety of tinted shades, which nourish lips all while adding a subtle yet charming hint of color. It smells citrusy and feels fresh on the lips, a nice reminder of the summer months ahead!2. eos Lip Balm Smooth Spheres- Evolution of Smooth – $3.29 I’ve written a review and raved about these little spheres of wonder before, and I will mention them again right now. This is probably my favorite lip balm I’ve ever owned. The formula glides on easy and remains on the lips for a long period of time. The lip spheres are 100% natural and 95% organic. Added bonus — the egged-shaped packaging makes this balm easy to find in any handbag!
3. Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm- Neutrogena- $1.99
I was interested in trying out this lip balm since I use the Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser and absolutely love it. Predictably, this lip balm was just as refreshing as the facial cleanser. The balm contains Vitamin E and leaves a soothing feeling on the lips. If you’re looking for a simple and clean lip balm, definitely opt for this one.
4. Vaseline Petroleum Jelly- Target- $3.39
I know this is probably the least glamorous sounding lip balm ever, but for this one it’s all about the technique. A good friend of mine told me to try brushing my lips with an old toothbrush and Vaseline every night before bed to exfoliate and moisturize my lips, and boy was she right on! This is the perfect way to keep lips healthy while sleeping and creates the perfect base for wearing other lip balms during the day. I’m now a regular on this lip trick!
Will you be trying any of these lip balms this winter?
