Colorblock Your Shoes

Now, I know I’ve discussed my love for colorblocking, but what about colorblocking your shoe collection?!  Oh, you’re brilliant, how did you know!?  Of course I love it!  Strappy sandals, pointy toed flats, loud stilettos – where can you go wrong?  Well actually, a few stores have taken it to the extreme, I’ve even seen a rainbow flatform circulating the web – yep, all colors included.  But besides these silly exceptions, the majority of colorblocked shoes this season are pretty fabulous if I do say so myself.

Though it was difficult to narrow down, I picked out a few favorites to share with you.  Which colorblocked pair is your favorite?

How can you NOT love these beauts from ShoeMint?!

I’m still absolutely fascinated by how well certain colors work together, even when I would never think to pair them up on my own.  These Hattie flats ($79) from ShoeMint are the perfect example. Orange, fuschia, and teal!  Who would of thought they’d be such a fabulous trio?

Love how the yellow pops

If you’re not ready to commit to the crazy colorblock trio, give these cool Deena & Ozzy Tubular Sandals ($39) from Urban Outfitters a spin.  The softer colors are perfect for day wear – start getting your collection ready for the warm weather!

Pattern AND color? Yes, please!

Aldo takes a bit of a different spin on colorblocking.  These Bowering Flats ($60) mix pretty colors and fun patterns for quite the pleasing aesthetic.

These Zara heels are to-die-for

Last, but not least – actually, this Basic Sandal ($49) from Zara is my favorite!  The colors are bright, yet complementary.  Perfect for pairing with a neutral summer dress!

So, folks. How do you feel about colorblocked shoes? Would you sport this trend?

  1. Colorblocking is one trend I can see going on for many more years. But I really do resent ShoeMint for copying Zara tricolor flat pumps to the bone. They are 98% the same as Zaras. They are wonderful (although I liked Zara version better) but seing this copy, I feel so disgusted, although we see copies every day. Strange right!?

Color blocking on your shoes is a great place to start if you aren't ready to commit to an entire outfit colour-blocked. Loved the examples you chose and I'm thinking of trying a DIY inspired by your post next week.
