A DIY Halloween

Brit Morin of Brit + Co. recently posted a list of her favorite Halloween costumes and they are totally awesome.  Seriously.  These 20 DIY costumes are easily made with items you might already own or pieces that you can wear after the Halloween festivities are over (minus a few of the necessary accessories).

Each year, I find that I have trouble finding a pre-packaged costume – they’re like a one size fits all dress that don’t actually fit all.  But, these DIY Halloween costumes are completely customizable.  In fact, I might even put a spin on one of these ideas and make it my own this year.  Piñata, Mary, or Wenda?

How cute is this piñata costume?  String some colored ribbon together for a cheap, fun costume that will certainly attract attention.

The Waldo/Wenda look is a classic that will always work for Halloween.  Find a striped shirt, throw on a pair of over-sized glasses and you’re good to go!

What I love about this Mary Poppins get-up is how easily it can be thrown together.  Find a white blouse, black skirt, umbrella, a few accessories and you’re transformed into Mary Poppins in just a few minutes.  Don’t forget the red lipstick!

Are you making your costume at home this year?

Oh so cute costumes! They all look colorful and perfect for this coming Halloween. You do not need to spend much on this kind of outfit which i usually prefer when it comes to costumes.
