Much like mint green, I have a very special place in my heart for summer’s mustard yellow.  While the name of the color itself doesn’t sound particularly pretty, I think it’s a perfect summer color.

In fact, I can even remember back to the first time I purchased a mustard yellow item — sounds kind of crazy, I’m aware.  It was in high school, probably the 9th grade, when I wandered into our mall’s newest store — Forever 21.  I spotted a mustard yellow hoodie hanging in the store and quickly zeroed in.  At this point, I was a bit skeptical about wearing that interesting color in to school the following morning.  But, I wore the semi-bright piece anyways, because I didn’t exactly care whether other people liked the color of my thin summer hoodie; all that mattered was that I did.

Ever since, I’ve been stocking my closet up that dark mustard yellow color.  So much so, that I’ve been seeing a ton of mustard yellow resurfacing for the warm weather this year.  So, while online window shopping for myself, I rounded up a few of my favorite pieces in the fun shade.
