I’ve been lusting over the J.Crew Bubble Necklace for quite some time now. While I was tempted every time I saw it in stores, I couldn’t bring myself to pay $150 for a piece of costume jewelry. There are a lot of replica necklaces out there, but I hadn’t found one that was just right … until I found oBaz, that is.
The fine folks over at oBaz contacted me to tell me all about their site. In their own words, oBaz is “a virtual boutique showcasing the latest undiscovered products and brands.” On oBaz, you can search for products in almost every possible category: clothing; jewelry; accessories; bags; home decor; houseware; gifts; organize; beauty and edibles.
You can shop just like any other site, where you search through the different categories or look through what’s trending. What really makes oBaz unique is the “discover” function that allows you to play a shopping game of sorts. During the game, you click through a random selection of products by clicking “next.” If you see something you like, you can click “want” to save it to your account or share it on your social networks by clicking on the Pinterest or Facebook buttons. Plus, while you’re playing the game, you can win special limited-time rewards. Who doesn’t like an extra $5 off just because?!
I was lucky enough to be given a gracious $50 credit to test out the site and purchase anything that caught my eye. This is where the J.Crew necklace I mentioned at the top of this post comes in to play. I was playing the game, when the Blake Bauble Necklace by Life Adorned popped on to my screen. It was love at first sight! I immediately added the mauve necklace (this color is no longer available) to my cart and checked out. The necklace arrived just a couple of days later, and I couldn’t have been more excited.
The necklace is everything I hoped for. The coloring is perfect and so is the length. In the spirit of total disclosure, I can’t get the clasp to open, but that’s what you get from a necklace that only costs $25. I could have exchanged the necklace for another one with a working clasp, but it fits over my head without a problem, and I don’t want to change the length. Plus, I didn’t want to go another day without this necklace in my life!
My whole experience with oBaz was ideal. Flipping through all the products is addicting (like Pinterest and Etsy), the checkout process was simple and delivery was speedy. I can’t wait to make my next purchase. I have my eyes on a couple of things, like this linen clutch and this personal vanity.
Do you have an oBaz account or will you set one up?
