My Roman Holiday: Taking Care of Business Back Home

Up until a few days ago, I had no plan of action for living arrangements post-Rome. I guess you can say that I’m kind of in denial about the fact that I don’t get to stay here forever. Luckily, I have two fabulous best friends who went house hunting in the south side of Pittsburgh where we go to school and found us a great house.

Obviously I’ve never seen it before, but I’m already daydreaming about filling up my new apartment with all sorts of homey goods! Here in Rome, and all around Europe, there exists an amazing establishment called Zara. A clothing store filled with both classic and super trendy apparel in a fair, but certainly not cheap, price range. The clothes are well made and always updated, the bags and shoes are fun and easy to wear… all around, it’s a great boutique.

So when I found out that Zara had recently expanded into a line of home goods, I was excited. But when I found out that they’d ship internationally to the United States, I was beyond ecstatic! I have already begun the process of house shopping from the Zara Home International online boutique and have found some great stuff. So great, that it’s ALMOST making the fact that I have to come home eventually tolerable. Take a look!

Mara-Lena Oro Bedding (Prices range $79-$99 for different size duvet covers)

I just love this French inspired duvet! The design would look great with all different room styles as well.

“Lisbeth” Laundry Basket $49 (available in various sizes)

This 100% bamboo laundry basket is woven in both silver and gold. Because every girl needs a fancy place to hide her dirty laundry!

“Marta” Rug ($189)

Our house is all hardwood, so we’re in the market for fun, accent rugs to keep our toes warm. I loved the design and color scheme of this one.

“Lawrence” Dinner ($15-$36)

Zara Home boasts a huge collection of dinnerware… I just loved the bright colors of this set!

“Nadia” Tea Mug ($17)

There are tons of fun, decorative mugs for morning bevs. These would make amazing gifts, as they’re so unique!
