Magnetic Nail Polish by Nails Inc. London at Sephora

Just as every nail polish addict knows, the nail polish world is ever changing. First it was nail art, then shatter polish, then Shellac, and now it’s magnetic nail polish.

Magnetic nail polish, you may ask? What could possibly be the purpose of that? And what does it look like? These were the first questions that came to my mind upon hearing about this new polish. It wasn’t long after that I was flipping through a magazine and found an article that explained all my questions about the unheard of magnetic nail polish.

Magnetic nail polish is a polish that uses an actual magnet to create a swirly, wavy polish effect. The design it creates on the nail is interesting and definitely something that cannot be achieved by nail art. And to answer one of the most frequent questions—no magnetic nail polish does not attract metal objects, it’s not THAT magnetic!

Upon reading about magnetic nail polish I knew I had to try it out. Luckily enough, my roommate bought me the three-polish set for my birthday. The set comes with a silver-gunmetal color, Trafalgar Square, a teal, Whitehall Teal, and a deep purple, Houses of Parliament.

To use magnetic nail polish only takes three simple steps, as the directions on the box describe:

  1. Apply a first coat to all of the nails and let sit for a few minutes.
  2. Paint the second coat on one nail.
  3. Flip the magnetic cap over and hold over the nail for 10- 15 seconds, resting the rim on the cuticle. Repeat for all nails.

Magnetic nail polish is made by Nails Inc. London and is retailed at $16 each, sold only at Sephora.

Here are the results of all three color polishes. Pretty awesome I’d say!

Will you be trying out magnetic nail polish any time soon?
