Wish List: Favorite Holiday Presents

Unfortunately, December is over. Some of you may be happy, but December is one of my favorite months because it contains not only my birthday, but also Christmas. The best part about both of these days is that I get to see the people I love most and eat a lot of delicious food. Spending time with my family was by far the best part of the month, but there were some wonderful other presents mixed in there as well.

For my birthday, my parents got me an iPhone, which is now practically attached to my hand. Needless to say, I was thrilled because my friends had been making fun of my old phone that wasn’t up-to-date. They also gave me some Pandora charms for my bracelet, which are some of my favorite presents because each charm has a story behind it. The music note charm they got me represented my years of voice lessons, and the 21 charm they gave me signified the age I turned.

My aunt and uncle gave me a beautiful Fossil watch that I’m in love with. It’s my first “adult” watch, as I like to call it.

It’s the Stella Mini Resin Watch in Pearlized White and it’s the perfect size for my small wrists. The color is so neutral that I can wear it with anything, and it has already become a daily staple in my accessories.

For Christmas, my parents picked out a few items that I desperately needed. My mom ordered a beige BDG cardigan from Urban Outfitters because she noticed that my old cardigan had seen much better days. To go along with it, she picked out a Pins and Needles Embroidered Cutout Blouse in a similar color. Bottom line, Mom did a great job.

Lastly, my parents bought me a ring that means a lot to me. I love any gift that is sentimental and personalized, so this was a perfect fit. For me, it was a ring with my sorority letters engraved on it, but you can find personalized gifts at various places.

Engraving a special sentiment means a lot to the person you’re giving it to.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and created great memories with their loved ones! As much as I love all of my gifts, being with my family was the best part of being home for the holidays.
