Whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day with a special someone or with a group of gal pals, painting your nails is an easy and affordable way to partake in the holiday fun.
From pale pink and nude to classic red and blue (violets are blue, after all), there is a wide array of colors for everyone this Valentine’s Day. Here are six of my favorites to start.
I’m not sure which one I’ll wear on Valentine’s Day just yet, but I’m leaning towards either essie’s Butler Please or Covergirl Outlast’s Lasting Love. I love the classic feel of Lasting Love and the unexpected twist of Butler Please. Lasting Love is a bit obvious, but Butler Please is perfect for those who don’t want to take that direction. If anyone tells you that blue has no place on Valentine’s Day, just start reciting “Roses are Red” and flash your gorgeous nails in their face. That will show them!
Since polish in the bottle isn’t always indicative of what it looks like on the nail, I’ve swatched all six colors below.
OPI – You Callin’ Me a Lyre
wHet – Nonchalant
essie – Butler Please
Sinful Colors – Boom Boom
Covergirl Outlast – Lasting Love
essie – Play Date
If you can’t make up your mind, just paint each nail a different color … of grow 4 extra hands. I think the former is a bit more realistic.
What nail color will you be sporting this Valentine’s Day?
