The extreme cold and dry air can wreak havoc on your skin during the winter months, but that doesn’t mean you have to stand for it. You are too fabulous to put up with dry, flaky skin, damn it!
Up until this year, I never changed my skin care routine with the change of seasons. However, as I noticed my skin staring to flake in November, I decided to take matters into my own hands and switch up my routine a bit, adding deeper moisturizing products to the mix. I swapped out my Clinique face lotion for Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar, added a night cream and started using a face oil once a day after cleansing. Plus, I snatched up the coveted Bioderma while in Canada over Thanksgiving, and I’ve noticed that removing makeup before using my face cleanser/Clarisonic has more-or-less killed all of the acne I’d been battling in October.

So there you have it – my current winter skin care routine. It’s definitely the season during which I use the most skin care products, but it’s worth the extra time to keep my skin healthy and glowing.
