I am crazy about color. If you are a lover of color like me, then you will be happy to know that this fall, jade and teal are very popular colors. The great thing about these colors is they look fabulous on a variety of skin tones and people. If you aren’t ready to go out sporting a jade dress or pair of pants just yet, don’t worry. You can still incorporate the hot new colors by accessorizing with them. Wear a ring or a purse with either color. Adding a burst of these colors to an all black ensemble will add a little something to your outfit and put an extra bounce in your step. There is so much you can do with these colors- be a little daring!
Dolman sleeve tops are a great staple to have in your closet this fall.
What They Are
A dolman sleeve is a type of sleeve with a very large armhole and tight cuff. Dolman sleeves are found on sweaters, tops, wraps and jackets this fall. They come in a variety of styles allowing you to find one for either work or watching football with friends.
Getting the Right Fit
Dolman sleeves are a very flattering piece of clothing, but you need to be careful about fit when purchasing. Dolman sleeve tops are not ones to buy one size bigger just in case you gain weight or they shrink; it is necessary to buy a size that fits right in all places. These tops are loose and if you buy one too big, it will do nothing for you because you will be swimming in it. It is best to pair your dolman top with a fitted pant like skinny jeans or leggings.

Stripes are all the rage right now. I’m happy about this as I absolutely love stripes; however there are many who disagree with me. I hope that these pictures will help change some minds.
Everywhere I look lately it is stripes, stripes and more stripes. Whether I am at work, shopping or on public transportation all I see is stripes! Stripes are a great option to have in your wardrobe, because they are versatile, very comfortable and come in a variety of styles.
Despite people thinking that horizontal stripes don’t look good on them, I think they can look great on just about anyone. Pair a striped shirt with a pencil skirt and wear to work or throw on a pair of jeans. Add some funky jewelry and heels depending on the occasion. So, before you turn your nose down on stripes this season, try them on again…who knows — you may like them.

Just yesterday, I felt like summer was beginning and I was pulling out all of my cute summer dresses, skirts and shorts from the downstairs closet ready to dig into them. And just like that summer is coming to an end; fall is right around the corner. Summer is my favorite time of year: I love the heat, the sunshine, the long days and the cute summer clothes. Don’t fret though, just because summer is ending does not mean you have to put away your cute summer clothes yet. For those chilly mornings, add a cute cardigan or crop jacket and just like that you have a super cute outfit that works for the chilly morning as well as the warmer weather later in the day. Colored cardigans are also great to add a little sizzle to a plain black dress or skirt. Wearing a busy floral dress? Add a jean jacket or a more neutral cardigan and just like that you are ready for any weather Mother Nature throws your way.

What is your favorite layering piece for those chilly fall mornings?
I am a big hand person. As weird as it sounds, I feel better when my hands look nice. I always have my fingernails polished. I feel naked without rings on my hand. I am always looking for new fun nail polish and rings. Lately, I have had my eye on my supervisor’s stackable ring. Not only is it gorgeous, but it is also a fun toy to play with when bored.

Do you wear stackable rings? What kind is your favorite?
Without jewelry, I feel naked. Every day, I wear bracelets, earrings, a necklace and rings. I wear a mix of costume jewelry and nice expensive silver and gold jewelry.
I am looking for new trends in jewelry, and lately, bangles seem to be all the rage. You can wear one bangle, or wear many. This look can be classy or can be a fun way to add a little sizzle to your wrists. Not to mention they are something fun to play with when you are bored or anxious. Another great aspect of bangles is that you can buy them in gold, silver or in costume jewelry. Something for everyone, which is always a bonus.

Do you wear bangles? What do you prefer — gold or silver?
This past weekend I went to New York City to visit some friends. It was a wonderful weekend and we did a lot of walking. Everywhere we went it seemed girls were wearing some variation of a smocked floral skirt coupled with a cute tank. It was extremely hot, so this was a great outfit choice. This is a great outfit, because you only have to invest in the skirt. Most people already have a cute tank top or shirt that will match nicely. It is a versatile outfit, which can be worn to a variety of occasions. It can be a fun casual outfit on the weekend. If it’s not the weekend you are dressing for, you can pair it with a cardigan and heels to make it appropriate for work.
Luckily for you, fabulous readers, with summer clothes going on clearance at most stores, these skirts are extremely affordable and won’t make a big dent in your wallet.

Will you frolic in floral this summer?
It sure has been hot out lately. Don’t get me wrong though, I am not complaining. I live for the summer months and thrive off of heat. While I love the warmth, sometimes it can be difficult to dress for the heat and still be appropriate for work. Every morning, I assume, when you get ready for work you have a couple goals in mind: to look professional, look cute and be comfortable (in the summer months, comfortable usually also means staying cool.) How do you pull off a look that can do all of that when it is well over 90 degrees you may ask? My solution is to wear shirt dresses!
Here are some of my favorites:
1. Linen Shirt Dress – Lauren by Ralph Lauren, $189.00
2. Classic Shirt Dress – Liz Claiborne, $34.99
3. Ruffle Front Shirt Dress – Eliza J, $118.00

When it is scorching out, what do you wear to work?
I might not know the correct name, but I do know they are a great outfit choice this summer. They are comfortable and come in so many fun patterns and styles. Rompers are great because they can be worn in a variety of ways. Add some funky jewelry, a blazer or a cardigan or you can wear a belt to add a little zing. Think about giving the romper a chance; I didn’t love them until I tried one on. Then, I realized the right romper could look great on just about anyone.

Will you be seen around town in a romper (or should I say jumper) or are you passing on this trend?
Typically seeing your bra through your shirt isn’t flattering. Some see this as desperate and tacky. Others downright frown on it and see it as a fashion disaster.
This season, however, bandeaus under baggy shirts are a big hit. I am not going to lie, when I heard about this trend, I also raised my eyebrow a little. I became very skeptical of this trend. Then, things changed when I visited my best friend in Florida. One night we were going out for dinner and she put on a purple lace bandeau under a baggy cardigan and some costume jewelry. It was a simple outfit, but she looked classy and cute. I was instantly sold on this new fashion statement and couldn’t wait to get my hands on one. Bandeaus are a great layering piece under a baggy shirt, tank top, and cardigan. They can even be worn alone if you are on the more daring side. Bandeaus come in a variety of styles and colors- take your pick!

Will you be sporting this look or frowning when you see bandeaus peaking out of shirts?
