10 Easter Dresses

I somehow made it to this point in April without realizing Easter weekend is upon us. I blame it on traveling for work and not having cable (hence no commercials to watch), but it’s most likely because I’ve been too busy binge watching Drop Dead Diva on Netflix. I know, I have amazing TV preferences.

Let’s get back on track, shall we? So yea, Easter is this weekend and I have no idea if we have plans with my BF’s family. Naturally this means that I’ve been doing some virtual window shopping to make sure that I won’t be caught last minute without anything to wear. I’m sure I have plenty of dresses I could wear, but I’ll never say no to an excuse to buy another piece of clothing.

Want to hear a funny story? I realized while perusing Nordstrom that I already have the perfect, never-worn Easter dress. I got this blue lace number at T.J.Maxx last month for just $40, about $100 cheaper than it is online. You can buy it down below, but stop by your local T.J.Maxx/Marshall’s first to see if they’re carrying it.

Since I had a dress I totally forgot about that was perfect for Easter, I’m going to pass on buying a new one right now. But, never fear, my research didn’t go to waste! I’ve rounded up 10 of my favorite Easter dresses below for any of you who still need to find the perfect frock for this weekend.

Post-Easter Pastels

Looking to work pastels into your wardrobe now that it’s technically spring?  I know I always am!  In fact, pastel shades are some of my favorite colors.  I’ve always been drawn to light shades and Shopbop has seriously done them some major justice this year.

Though Easter is over, pastels are in for spring, summer, and fall (let’s just give winter honorary pastel status for now).  So, here are a few of my favorite pastel looks from Shopbop’s collection this season.

1.  Did you go with a pastel blazer this year?  If you have a tailored one like this SMYTHE blazer, pair it with some comfortable shorts and sandals for an everyday look.

2.  If you went with the dressed-down pastel denim look this year, try tucking in a simple white tee or tank and throwing on some statement jewelry for a simple, classic look!

3.  If you donned a pastel blouse for Easter, pair it with a metallic skirt and you’re ready for a night out with friends!

What will you be pairing your pastels with this season?

Product Review: New eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balms

I’m not sure about all you readers out there, but lip balm is a serious purse necessity no matter where I’m going.  It’s not that I constantly have chapped lips, but the feeling of soft, smooth lips is much better than dry lips, right?  So, you can imagine the moment when I anxiously ripped open the packaging of six new eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balms.  Yup, you heard me right, six.  I was lucky enough to have the chance to try out all of the new flavors!  But, now I have the problem of never knowing which one to choose for the day!  In all honesty, I normally just carry two along with me.  Yes, that is how indecisive I am.

The eos lip balms have tons of jojoba oil, shea butter, and vitamin E so your lips will stay soft and completely moisturized throughout the day.  Also, if you’re anything like me, you’ll be extremely pleased to hear they don’t test any of their products on animals.  Yay for fabulous, smooth, organic lip balm!

The new summer 2012 lip balm line includes Summer Fruit, Lemon Drop (spf 15), Strawberry Sorbet, Honeysuckle Honeydew, Medicated Tangerine, and Sweet Mint.  See what I mean when I can never pick just one?!  The Smooth Sphere Lip Balm retails for $3.29 at retailers such as Target, CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens.

Are you convinced to try out a new lip balm for summer?  Check out the rest of their products here!

How fun are these new lip balms?!  They feature soft, sweet scents such as strawberry, honeydew, and tangerine — perfect for summer!

Even though the spheres are small and totally great for toting around in a clutch, there is so much lip balm packed inside each one! Luckily these won’t run out too quickly!

Gift these cute little egg like lip balms for Easter! Stock up on a few and stuff them into Easter baskets for the upcoming holiday — the perfect gift for any age.
