I’ll never forget when Herbal Essences first came on to the scene in the 90s, and saucy commercials featuring women screaming “Yes, yes, yes!” hit prime-time airwaves. Simply scandalous! And of course, I had to have that shampoo immediately.
Now, the launch of the brand’s first premium line, the Herbal Essences Naked Collection, continues that saucy tradition, encouraging women to bare their softest hair and #GetNaked. The premise behind the line simple, focusing on what the products don’t contain — ingredients like dyes, parabens and heavy residues.
Here are three great reasons to get naked:
1. Herbal Essences Naked Volumizing Soufflé (free of silicone & dyes)
This volumizing leave-in is perfect for creating subtle lift and texture without the weight or “crunch” or other volumizers. I used it the other day before poufing my hair into a half-ponytail bouffant, and one of my coworkers couldn’t believe that it’s all I used to create the volume — no teasing allowed.
2. Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo (free of parabens & dyes)
Let me bare it all for you — this is hands down the BEST dry shampoo of any mass-market brand I’ve tried. There is absolutely no color, so dark-haired beauties won’t look like they had an accidental explosion of baby powder all over their roots. And it smells so fresh and makes my hair feel so clean that I can almost believe I had gotten up early enough to wash my hair.
3. Herbal Essences Naked Sheer Shine Mist (free of parabens & dyes)
This is one of the lightest weight shine mists I’ve used yet, with a springy light scent of champagne and mint. This is a great finishing spray and can also be used as a leave-in detangler for dry hair like mine.
I showed you mine — now it’s your turn. Let me know if you’re going to #GetNaked!
