As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I won’t be doing anything romantic this Valentine’s Day. I’ll be visiting my grandparents in DC and getting afternoon tea. I mean, if that doesn’t spell HOT, I don’t know what does.
But just because I won’t be with my boyfriend this weekend doesn’t mean I can’t get dressed up in celebration in love. And with that, I wanted to share with you my planned Valentine’s Day OOTD.
It’s been a long time, my outfit-post friends. I think the last true outfit post I did was back in the days of “No Pants, No Problem.” As much as I love fashion and dressing up, I chose to skip the outfit posts for a few reason:
I didn’t have a proper camera, so I had to use my Mac
Using my Mac meant I had 3 seconds between hitting the shutter button and striking a pose
It was hard to position my Mac in ways that didn’t make me look like I was all sorts of distorted.
My thinking was that struggling for sub-par outfit photos was more hassle than it was worth. Plus, I didn’t want you to have to suffer through my poopy photos.
Lately though, I’ve been lusting over everyone’s outfit posts and having a little blog envy. While I still don’t have a proper camera, I’ve invested in a remote and tripod for my iPhone so taking self-portraits in the morning will be much easier.
Please bear with me, I’m still struggling to master the lighting and camera settings on my phone. I’ll play around with this for a bit to see if I can get good quality photos before I fork over truck-loads of money for a quality camera.
